GOING BACK TO NATURE: PARADISE RANCH

Imahe
Last stop in our itinerary for this year's interdisciplinary tour comes with an experience with the nature, in Paradise Ranch in Clark, Pampanga. It is the perfect place to conclude such an awesome experience to travel, unwind and inexplicably relate the lessons we acquire in a typical classroom setting. A place of wonder, the amusement park houses the 'greenest' that the city can offer: ranging from as variant as the creeping, potted plants in the Botanical gardens, until their own rendition of a not-so tall pines in their Little Baguio. Alongside comes a bird park, where we get to have a chance to interact and feed the low flying birds of different kind, a lake suspended with a floating cottage for the visitors to feed the fishes, a zoo of mostly amphibious animals, and predominantly houses for rent overnight, a lavish experience to guests who wants to get the feel of living the countryside away from the smokes of the highly urbanized Clark. A Day with the Aeta Community in Zambales

Imahe
It is but one great experience to us cadets to extend our felicitations and give back to people like the community of Aeta in Zambales. Before such, we traveled from Pampanga to Zambales NOTC to interact with the PNOC cadets commissioned as probationary ensigns of the Navy. It was a fruitful endeavor for ideas were shared and friendships/connections were made in our counterparts. It was sealed with a boodlefight and our final interaction before we depart in the institution. Along our journey to the community, we were then toured in the facilities of the NOTC, and we get to see their gigantic aerostat, which looks like a typical kite from the above, the only thing is it has its functions in which I failed to ask to the people in there. By 1400H, we arrived in this not-so secluded open field were we are waited with the community of Aetas in Zambales. Most of them are in their authentic dress codes (for the elderly wore their bahag and outwear made of malongs). I have been told that t...

TRACING OUR CULTURAL IDENTITIES: NAYONG PILIPINO

Imahe
Today, we  celebrated the vastness of the culture of the Philippines at Nayong Pilipino in Clark, Pampanga. The trip was not so enduring for it is just a few clicks from our barracks at Eagles Inn (it is literally 15-almost minutes of bus time) and when we landed, we immediately started the tour. The whole attraction was amazing. Even a local tourist like me appreciated the works they have done to replicate each of the regions' culture in sense of its people, the form of their houses, the music and the dances, and so many other. The place is a haven for picture worthy sceneries of great wonder, especially to those people who loves to see old retrospectives. For the most part, we were just taking pictures and not minding what the tourist guides have been saying really. It was great. I appreciate that they have exerted efforts into making the virtual world satisfying. They have placed in what I've been told families of Aetas to depict their community and their wa...

DAY 1: ALPHA AVIATION GROUP

Imahe
Aw ay from the challenging life in barracks, the Academic Group decided to make ways for us to break free from such constraints. Hence, we conducted our second interdisciplinary tour as cadets, being this as the first for our secondclass year. Day one marks our first visit to one of the country’s finest aviation school to offer: The Alpha Aviation Group in Pampanga. The experience was exhilarating. Well, for the most part it’s just a school visit. We were greeted by the warmest welcome of their faculty and students, which was then concluded with a boodlefight afterwards. It is not just a typical school for aspirants. It provides well-round facilities of great significance since most of these facilities are imported from outside the country and is considered to be the first among the world’s regions (as what would they call the divisions of aviation schools in the world). We are presented with a top-notch facility of flight simulators, well-ventilated rooms, name-coded of...
