DAY 1: ALPHA AVIATION GROUP
Away from the challenging life in barracks, the Academic Group decided to make ways for us to break free from such constraints. Hence, we conducted our second interdisciplinary tour as cadets, being this as the first for our secondclass year.
Day one marks our first visit to one of the country’s finest aviation school to offer: The Alpha Aviation Group in Pampanga.
The experience was exhilarating. Well, for the most part it’s just a school visit. We were greeted by the warmest welcome of their faculty and students, which was then concluded with a boodlefight afterwards. It is not just a typical school for aspirants. It provides well-round facilities of great significance since most of these facilities are imported from outside the country and is considered to be the first among the world’s regions (as what would they call the divisions of aviation schools in the world).
We are presented with a top-notch facility of flight simulators, well-ventilated rooms, name-coded offices and mock models of small A320s (though as a fan myself, I expected to see myself even small models of Boeing 737, the largest plane ever to fly to skies commercially).
To become a visitor to such prestigious school and be invited to be in one gives us cadets such an endearing offer and a reminder that we are given with the opportunity to be seen as individuals of great importance in nation-building. I felt during those moments that even when sometimes we see ourselves as mere cadets in uniform, we cannot deny the fact that to outsiders (or the ones observing us from the outside), we are significantly developed people committed into becoming best, for what they hoped to expect to us is only the best– which is why decorum should be maintained during the course of this tour.
I am looking forward to the things that wait for us the next day.
